Man Bites Man In Metairie
A Metairie man was hospitalized after a Hispanic man bit his arm, ripped off a hunk of flesh, and swallowed it.
Mario Vargas, 48, of New Orleans, attacked Joseph Lancellotti, 67, in Lancellotti's yard Saturday afternoon. The two did not know each other.
Lancellotti said Vargas was walking towards his house and shouting. Lancellotti did not know what Vargas was saying because Vargas was speaking Spanish.
Vargas approached Lancellotti and punched him. A struggle ensued and Vargas bit Lancellotti's right arm. Vargas proceeded to choke Lancellotti until a neighbor arrived to intervene.
Vargas was charged with second degree battery.
